My passion for color ignited in childhood, experimenting with my mother’s vast cosmetics collection—trying blue eyeshadow one day and green the next, at just 11 years old. This early fascination propelled me into a professional career as a makeup artist, working in television with news anchors and as a promotional representative for prestigious brands including Elizabeth Arden, Estée Lauder, and Lancôme. I instinctively noticed certain colors enhanced my clients far more than others, yet I didn’t understand why—until the 1980s, when Color Me Beautiful introduced personal color analysis. I had my own colors analyzed and was astonished by the results, which defied my expectations. This revelation inspired me to master the field, applying seasonal color theory to create glowing, natural looks for clients. However, many didn’t fit neatly into the traditional four-season framework. Seeking greater precision, I discovered the Sci\ART™ system, developed in 2000 by the late Kathryn Kalisz—a revolutionary, three-dimensional color analysis method that accurately identifies one’s natural tone. Her book Understanding Your Color illuminated what had been missing, and I longed to train under her. Though her untimely passing prevented that, I was fortunate to study with the very first instructor she certified. Today, I offer thorough, individualized Sci\ART™ color analyses to uncover the palette that perfectly complements your unique coloring—empowering you to look radiant and feel confident every day.

The Science Behind Your Season
PCA is a process of comparing various colors (drapes) on you to determine your personal color tone. The system is rooted in the science of color and human vision. This advanced 12-tone method, created by Kathryn Kalisz, builds upon the traditional 4-season approach of the 1980s.
Kathryn’s work revealed that over two-thirds of people fall into more neutral skin tones — not fully warm or fully cool. She expanded the system using Albert Munsell’s 3-Dimensional color model, which classifies color by Hue, Value, and Chroma — the core elements of how we perceive color.
